One of the committees of CAP is our Parent Education Committee. The mission of the Parent Education Committee is to ensure Valley School families have access to educational opportunities and resources that enhance their experience both as parents and as members of our school community. Attuned to the interests expressed within last summer’s online Parent Survey, the committee has been hard at work organizing their first Speaker Evening. Scheduled for January 13th, the event will feature Jeff Lee, MD, author, Seattle's Child Magazine columnist ("Dad Next Door”), family physician, and father. Jeff will talk about fostering resilience and the modern parent's delicate dance between holding on and letting go. You can sign up and learn about child care options here.
