Join your school community as we gather on Monday, January 16 at Garfield High to attend the rally for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We plan to meet and gather starting at 10 a.m. in preparation for the rally which begins at 11 a.m. in the Garfield High School Gym. Please look for community members wearing Valley swag.

Following the rally, we will March for Justice at 12:30 p.m. The exact march route will not be shared publicly in advance due to concerns for safety and security. Please look for a Valley flag held up high so you can easily find us and we will march together. 

Why do we march in support of the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.? To continue to rally against racial disparity, to continue to rally against voter suppression, to continue to rally against housing injustice, to continue to rally against educational disparity.

Reminders: Dress for the weather, wear comfortable walking shoes, and bring snacks and hydration. 

Valley staff will bring buckets and grippers so we can pick up garbage along the march route.
